Since nutrition and sports studies began in the early 1900s, every research subject has been a young, active, white male. I was literally told in high school “we don’t study women, their hormones are too complicated.”
And it's not until the past 3-5 years that sports science has turned the lens to over-40 athletic, active women. The past few years, we’ve been the MOVEMENT that has said ENOUGH, we can't "pink it and shrink it" with our cycling training anymore!
